Natalya Laskis was born in Miami, FL in 1980. She received a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD 2002 and attended the New World School of the Arts in Miami. Laskis' paintings present representational snapshots of socially groups. Other paintings utilize an abstracted and emotionally-tuned visual language that transcend narrative with loosened application of paint. Shortness of Breath at Locust Projects, Miami, FL 2012. and American Odyssey at Frederic Snitzer Gallery, Miami 2009.The artist has been included in group exhibitions David Castillo Gallery, Miami, FL, 2008. And the Boca Raton Museum of Art, Boca Raton, 2009 and Fred Snitzer Gallery at The Armory, New York, NY, 2011. Nada Art Fair during Basel, Miami Beach, 2013-2014. Her work is represented by CANCIO Contemporary Miami/ New York. She is currently a shares her time between West Palm Beach and New York City.
